VT520DIN AC Voltage Monitor

Product Datasheet

The additional power supply is needed only if the number of sensors in a CAN bus chain is more than 12 sensors. CAN-12V-1A supplies power for each additional group of 12 CAN devices (sensors and extensions).

CAN devices and sensors can be chained together. Up to 10-32 CAN devices can be connected in a chain. You can connect CAN sensors or extensions on a CAN bus line.

Use cases

The VT594 Water Leak Sensor is used for:

  • Data Center Monitoring: The VT520 can be utilized in data centers to continuously monitor AC voltage levels across multiple racks. This ensures that servers and networking equipment receive stable voltage, helping to prevent potential equipment failure due to voltage fluctuations.
  • Industrial Equipment Monitoring: In manufacturing environments, the VT520 can monitor the voltage supplied to heavy machinery. Accurate voltage measurement helps operators maintain optimal performance and prevent downtime caused by electrical issues.
  • Building Management Systems: The voltmeter can be integrated into building management systems to monitor voltage levels for HVAC systems, lighting, and other electrical equipment. This aids in energy management and can trigger alarms if voltage levels fall outside specified thresholds.
  • Electrical Panels: When installed in electrical distribution panels, the VT520 can provide real-time voltage monitoring to electricians and facility managers, allowing for quick diagnosis of electrical problems.
  • Power Quality Analysis: The sensor can be used for power quality assessments, helping to identify issues like voltage sags, swells, and harmonics that can affect overall system performance and equipment longevity.
  • Renewable Energy Systems: In solar or wind energy systems, the VT520 can monitor AC voltage output to ensure that the generated energy is within safe operational limits for connected devices.
  • Research and Testing: In laboratories or testing facilities, the VT520 can be used to conduct experiments or tests on electrical devices, providing precise voltage readings necessary for accurate data collection.
